Yours may be a pain to knit but it will look beautiful with the coat.

I think the scarf looks perfect for it. When we had a mild winter day, I usually grabbed my Lands End jacket instead of the Geiger. Usually our winter days are too cold for anything but a heavy hooded jacket.
