I think pewter would look amazing.

I had to give up alcohol for caffeine when I started getting migraines. (My neurologist wanted me to give up both but I’m only human!)

I think either would look nice. Wood would give it a more casual feel and pewter would be more dressy. In my experience attempting to match periwinkle is a maddening process and should be avoided at all costs. It is a beautiful but elusive color and should be left to shine on its own.

But I don’t drink enough anymore to know if that saying actually holds true, and when I did drink that much (college and after), I was too drunk to remember which one I started with. 😉

I’m a fan of wood buttons. Have you tried etsy? GREAT button finds there!

And alcohol with a sweet mix is also a no-no. Although, I had a “Blanco Sangria” the other day, and it was divine. And no ill effects either…

I think pewter would look lovely on the cardigan. Unless you can find a darker shade of periwinkle (a colour I LOVE, great choice!).

So does wine of any sort – that one started out as first tannic reds (pinot noir was still ok), then pinot noir, then white. Also, I need to drink at least as much (preferably more) water as alcohol.

The only thing I ever heard was in college: Beer before liquor, never sicker. Liquor before beer, you’re in the clear.

But I think that’s just because if you’re already buzzed on beer, you’ll drink too much liquor. Whereas if you switch from liquor to beer, it’s just hard to get too smashed on beer because there is so much volume!

(http://www.jimmybeanswool.com/knitting/yarn/Rowan/ButtonCollection.asp) They vary a lot in color, which would be hard to shop for online, but you might be able to find something that accents the periwinkle without being matchy-matchy.

Makes things a bit easier, ya know?

The color of your sweater would probably be hard to match, I’d go for wood or metal – and why not search the web?
(((hugs)))
